John Wick is pulled out of retirement once again to settle a debt from an old friend. This is an amazing movie but not as good as the first one. The action is bigger and the stakes are even higher than before. Keanu still has what it takes to be a badass hitman and all of his stunts are real (well some). The best part of the whole entire movie was the catacombs/party scene. The cinematography was beautiful and extremely intense. The movie explains and expands the universe of the Continental hotel where hitmen can’t kill each other. Laurence Fishburne was also great and so are the other actors and actresses. The one thing I didn’t like was the way they got John back in the game cause it’s very forced. The first made sense cause it was love and very relatable. This is more of a plot device than something as relatable or makes sense. Other than that I really loved it and can’t wait till it comes out on bluray and for the next installment. If you like the first film then you will like this one. Verdict: 8.2.
